Advanced DBT Skills Group at MTA Starting February 2021

Wednesdays, 5:00 pm – 6:45 pm

This group is currently full.  Check back at the end of 2021 for information about groups in 2022.

Led by Kate Northcott, LMFT.  Kate is an intensively training and highly experienced DBT therapist who has been leading DBT Skills Training Groups for two decades.  The group is designed to be small, warm, supportive and highly structured and is open to adults of all gender identities.  The group will cover all DBT Skills Modules.

Commitment for the entirety of 2021 is required (group will meet for approximately 40 weeks between February 3-December 16).  Each member of the group is required to be in individual therapy and must complete an individual intake before being admitted to the group.

This DBT Skills Training Group is ideal for the client who has completed at least one DBT Skills Training Group.  Clients who are new to DBT Skills Training may be considered for admission after consultation between the group leader the individual therapist and after the intake has been completed.  All group members must be able to work well within a structured, homework-based framework.

This small group (4-5 members) will be homework intensive.  Homework will generally require 30 minutes or more of weekly homework.  Group members who do not complete weekly homework as required will be asked to leave the group.

Fee:  $95 per group, payable monthly at the beginning of each month.  One time intake fee is $190.

To enroll in the group, please email Kate Northcott

INDIVIDUAL DBT SKILLS TRAINING: Please contact Kate Northcott or Lori Schwanbeck.

Clients must be in weekly individual therapy in order to participate in the group.
